Does Having an "A" Mean Commitment Issues?

Does Having an "A" Mean Commitment Issues?

The last decade has brought us not one, but three "Beautiful Girl" movies (and a spin-off), and while I'm sure there will be more, you probably haven't gotten around to seeing them yet. For all their beauty, they're so incredibly innocent-looking. And while they may look like nothing more than simple, happy, young women (though they're actually old enough to know better), they are anything but. Escort dinners have become a bit of a trend in Los Angeles since the movie industry has become more populated with people who aren't always into the hottest, hippest movies. It's kind of a way of creating a bit of a stir and getting people talking about what's new in town. There is a lot of "sexy" stuff going on in Hollywood, but many of the actresses and stars are just regular old, ordinary girls. That's really what they're all dealing with: ordinary lives. But in this movie, the girl with the "C" word tattoo on her wrist doesn't have an everyday job; she's got a sweet little job working for a very sweet old soul who's also rich. When she realizes that her "sweet" employer won't pay her the same salary as her other clients, she decides to pursue her dream of getting an "A" degree from an "A-list" school and instead of spending her money on movies and hair dos, she decides to get the great love of her life an "A" letter from her old college girlfriend, whom she never saw again. "Beautiful girls" in L.A. have always had a problem with commitment issues, whether it's because they're Southern ladies who prefer houses with white picket fences or they're Southern gals who can't see a good reason to commit to the guy who buys them chocolate chip ice cream cones on a daily basis. In Jackie's case, she decides that she has to come to terms with her commitment issues before she gets married. Does this make her a bad person? Absolutely not; she does finally realize what she wants in a man (she wants a man who treats her like she is the only woman he has). And even though some people will tell you that a film is better than a novel, if you want to spend your time reading books that are written by people who don't have all of the fancy gadgets Jackie has in her possession, then the real-life story of Jackie will be more interesting to you.
